NJ American Water Company will be flushing the hydrants in Stratford from April 23 to May 4, 2012. Please check for discolored water before using the washing machine or dishwasher.

If laundry becomes stained, do not use bleach, and do not put the clothes in the dryer Rewash clothes immediately using more detergent or heavy duty detergent and add a rust remover.

Attention Stratford Community,

We invite you to attend this month’s IMPORTANT meeting, to be held on Thursday April 19th, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Stratford Yellin School Library. The past few months we have been working on our Sustainable Journey project. This month's meeting is to work on our visionary process by assessing where we are today to plan for our future.

The meeting will be conducted in three processes: 1.) Determine the concerns/needs of the Stratford residence and local businesses

• Answer questions like: What concerns or needs do you have? 2.) Identify ideas/actions that can help address the concerns/needs

• Answer questions like: What ideas do you have to … , or How can we help/address …, etc. 3.) Assess the information gathered and look to see what sustainable actions we could take that will address or help the needs

eNews 2012 annual budget hearing

The Governing Body has introduced the 2012 annual budget at their meeting on March 13, 2012. The required public hearing will be held on April 10, 2012 at 7pm at the Justice Facility, 315 Union Avenue, at which time public comments will be heard. Action by the Governing Body on the 2012 budget will follow the public hearing. Copies of the budget are available to the public for free by stopping in at borough hall, or by email (the green way to save 68 sheets of legal paper!). Any questions feel free to inquire at borough hall.
