A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for the Benefit of Shane Bailo to be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Parkview Elementary School, All Purpose Room. Choice of 2 seatings: 4:30 - 6:00 pm or 6:30 - 8:00pm. Tickets are $10 per adult and $5 per child under 12.

Shane is 8 years old and is in the 3rd grade at Parkview Elementary School. He was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma before the age of 2. This rare cancer affects the bones and the surrounding soft tissue. Shane received chemotherapy for over a year and has just recently reached his 5 year remission mark.

Shane now requires 3 separate surgeries to replace, repair and grow bone in his are where the tumor was located. There are only 2 surgeons who perform this type of surgery and they are not "in network" with the family's insurance. Also the hospital where the surgeries need to be performed is located in NYC. The location of the hospital will require travel as well as lodging expenses for his parents. Not only will Shane and his parents need to be in NYC for the surgeries, but all follow up visits as well as Shane's physical therapy.
