Fund Raiser (January 17th)
Fund Raiser for the Benefit of Shane Bailo to be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Parkview School, All Purpose Room.  Choice of two seatings.  Either 4:30-6pm or 6:30-8pm.  Festivities will also include a Bake Sale and other initiatives to raise money.

Tickets are $10 per adult, and $5 per child under 12.

Contact Kim Bailo at 856-834-6562.  Sponsored in part by Seasons Pizza of Stratford and Barilla Pasta.

Shane was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma as a child not yet 2 years old.  He is now 8 years old and in the 3rd grade.  This rare cancer affects the bones or the surrounding soft tissues.  Only .3 cases per 1 million children under age of 2 are diagnosed with the disease.  Shane received chemotherapy for over a year and has reached his 5 year remission mark this June!  He has further surgery on his arm where the tumor was located.  He has had bone replacement done but will require more surgery.  There are only 2 surgeons capable of doing the surgery and they are not “in network” with the family’s insurance.  Also the hospital is located in NYC which will require travel, as well as lodging for the parents.  This fund raiser is to help the family cope with these expenses.
