Public Works

Public Works Department is located at the end of Longwood Drive. If you have any questions
or any complaints regarding trash, recyclables, white goods, or yard waste please call the Borough Hall Monday thru Friday 9 am to 5 pm at (856) 783-0600

Chipping of branches is a service provided by the Public Works Department every other week.  If you have any branches that you cannot wait for the chipping machine they can be picked up with yard  waste every Wednesday if they are tied and bundled, or in cans or boxes, and they must be 4 foot lengths. Yard waste will be picked up every week with regular trash.

If you have or are planning to remove a tree on your property, please note the Public Works Department will not be able to chip large quantities of branches.  You should have large quantities done by a professional service.

Metal goods such as appliances are picked up every other week, opposite the chipping schedule.  Again the metal items should be placed at the curb for Wednesday for Thursday and Friday pickup.  Please note that if any concrete is attached to the metal, it will not be picked up.  The Borough does not pick up concrete.

Leaves are picked up in the Borough form November 1st through the month of December.  Please rake the leaves into the street, or on the easement section adjacent to the curbside.  You may also bag your leaves for pick up as well.  The Borough has 2 leaf machines, each working a side of town.  Please be patient for the machines if the machine passes your property and you have not raked, it will not return until it repeats the work schedule.  So please do not contact the Borough to have the machine return to your property.  There are no special trips for leaf pick up!

Tree Stumps are also picked up by the Public Works, but not on a regular schedule.  as their time schedule permits, as well a the volume of tree stumps may require, they will come and pick up your stumps placed on the easement section of your property.  Please do not place stumps on the street as this causes a hazard to vehicles.
