Code Enforcement
The Borough has many sections to their Borough Code Book. The Code covers items such vehicle parking, noise, property maintenance, zoning, etc. If you have any questions about something you may feel is a problem or nuisance to your neighborhood please contact the borough clerk and inquire about the Code. No names required to be given to report a possible problem.
Some code sections:- Parking is permitted only in your driveway or in the street. You cannot park on your lawn
- All vehicles must have current DMV registration. Even on your property your vehicle must be registered. The only exception is if the vehicle is in the garage.
- Stone driveways or stone extensions to the driveway are permitted but must apply for a free permit. This requirement is to be sure the stones are laid in a proper fashion on weed deterrent fabric, so the stones are held in a proper border and the stones are in the proper location.
- Lawns must be cut regularly, curb lines in front of your home must be weed free, and homes must be painted and maintained.
- Trash is not to be placed at the curb sooner than 24 hours before your pick up day, and the empty cans must be picked up and stored from view within 12 hours after pick up.
- The Borough has a leash law and has adopted the pooper scooper law regarding the walking of your pets, and cleaning up after them.

If you are in VIOLATION of any Borough Code, you could be summoned to court and liable for fines $50.00 - $500.00. If you have any questions call the Borough Clerk
